Lee Charles Moorehead was
born in Peoria, Illinois in 1919. Three years later he moved to
Decatur, Illinois
with his mother and three siblings after the death of his father, Lee Coddington Moorehead.
A graduate of Millikin University and Boston University School of Theology,
Lee served in the ministry of the Methodist Church, and then United Methodist Church.
His daughter Becky’s home is filled with his sermons, writings, notes and more, and this website
has been created to share this with family and others.
Lee loved people, family, books, seeking knowledge of the world around him,
Abraham Lincoln and Civil War history, the theatre, and most especially, God and the Church.
His ministry covered some very historic years and events in American and world history, from the 1940s up to
and past his retirement in 1984. His last sermons were given around the time of his 80th birthday celebration.
This website will share many of his most significant sermons, writings, and experiences during this time.
